Woman who died after being found in city centre street is named

A County Durham woman who died after being found lying unconscious in a city centre street has been named.

Charlotte Davison, 18, from the Stanley area, was found unconscious in West Road, Newcastle, at around 21:30 GMT on Saturday.

She was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary and later pronounced dead.

A 42-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been arrested and bailed in relation to possible drugs-related offences.
