Newcastle United's Nile Ranger denies assault charges
Newcastle United footballer Nile Ranger has denied charges of assault and drunk and disorderly behaviour.
The 20-year-old striker pleaded not guilty to the charges at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
He was remanded on conditional bail and is not allowed to enter Newcastle city centre's parking meter zone between 21:00 and 07:00 GMT.
Mr Ranger will reappear before magistrates on 13 January when his cases will be committed to crown court.
Mr Ranger is charged with two counts of assault and two of assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident outside a Newcastle pub in August.
He is also charged with drunk and disorderly behaviour during a separate incident in October.
