The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation has gained more than £100,000 through an online auction.

Sir Bobby's Breakthrough Auction included 188 lots donated by the likes of David Beckham, Ant and Dec, Katherine Jenkins and Fabio Capello.

The auction and a charity ball raised a total of £202,774 for the charity and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The foundation received £102,112 of the auction total, which organiser Gina Long said was a "massive success".

She added: "Along with thanking the brilliant auction committee, I want to thank the donors of the magnificent prizes, the bidders and all our incredible sponsors who helped make this event such an amazing success.

"We are looking forward to having another Sir Bobby's Auction and Ball in October 2013 and we hope it will be even bigger than the first."

The highest bid was for Jose Mourinho's FIFA Ballon D'Or World Coach of the Year Award 2010, which raised £26,000.

County Durham-born former England boss Sir Bobby, who also managed Newcastle and Ipswich, died in 2009 at the age of 76 after a long battle with cancer.

So far the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation has raised more than £3.9m.
