Murder probe arrests as body found in Blyth house fire

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found in a burning flat in Northumberland.

Police and firefighters were called to the property in Nordale House in Blyth on Tuesday morning, where the body of a 40-year-old man was discovered.

Northumbria Police said a 23-year old man and a 28-year-old man from Blyth were arrested later.

A force spokesman said a post-mortem examination was due to be carried out and appealed for witnesses.
