Man pleads not guilty to brother's manslaughter in Morpeth

A man has denied manslaughter over the death of his brother in Northumberland.

Michael Marshall, 52, a pub karaoke singer known as Little Elvis, died in hospital after an assault in Sanderson Arcade, Morpeth, in August last year.

Anthony Marshall, of Broom Road, Carrville, County Durham, pleaded not guilty to the charge of manslaughter at Newcastle Crown Court.

The 50-year-old will face trial on 14 May.
