Body found by police is missing teenager Kelvin Bradley

A body found in the centre of Newcastle has been confirmed as that of missing County Durham teenager Kelvin Bradley.

The 18-year-old, from Ferryhill, did not return home on Saturday after a night out in the city.

Durham Police said the teenager's body was found on Thursday in a service area at the rear of the Eldon Square shopping complex.

A force spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious. Mr Bradley's family have been informed.

The spokesman added: "We are now able to formally identify the body recovered by police yesterday in Newcastle as 18-year-old Kelvin Bradley from Ferryhill.

"Kelvin's death is not being treated as suspicious. The coroner has been informed and an inquest will take place in due course.

"Our thoughts are with Kelvin's family at this time and we would like to thank everyone who helped in the search for Kelvin including the media and members of the public."
