Second man arrested over North Tyneside fatal crash

A second man has been arrested after a man and a dog died in a car crash in North Tyneside.

The car left the road at about 19:20 GMT on 27 November at the off-slip to Norham Road from the Coast Road (A1058) and hit a crash barrier.

Mark Flynn, aged 38 and from Blyth, was pronounced dead at the scene. A dog was also killed in the crash, police said.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been bailed pending further inquiries.

A 30-year-old man who was arrested in November on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has also been released on bail.
