Seaton Delaval Hall reopens in time for Easter

A stately home in Northumberland has reopened after a three-month closure over winter.

The Grade I-listed Seaton Delaval Hall is undergoing a six-month restoration programme funded by the National Trust.

Around £1.4m is being spent on the country house. The trust campaigned to save the hall when it was put up for sale in 2008.

Property manager Judith Cashman said the hall was a "work in progress" but visitors would not be affected.
