Linton shooting: Man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Northumberland.

A 23-year-old man suffered leg wounds after the shooting in Second Row, Linton, near Morpeth, on Sunday.

A 31-year-old man from nearby Lynemouth has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a prohibited weapon.

A 19-year-old woman and two men aged 26 and 32 also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The victim, who has not been named, remains in hospital in a stable condition.
