Newcastle flight to Malaga diverted by passenger illness

jet2 Jet2 launched its Newcastle-Malaga route in 2006

A flight from Newcastle to Spain has been diverted to France because of a medical emergency on board.

A passenger on the Jet2 flight to Malaga was taken off the aircraft after it landed at Brest and was said to be in the care of the French medical authorities.

A Jet2 spokesperson said flight LS557 resumed its journey and had since landed in Malaga.

The company flies to 12 countries and 27 airports from Newcastle Airport.
