Lynemouth man found unconscious on Ellington path dies
A man found unconscious on a disused mineral line in Northumberland has died.
Mathew O'Donovan, 22, of Eden Terrace, Lynemouth was found in the early hours of 5 July on the path in Ellington but died on Thursday in hospital.
A man has been arrested and released on police bail.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who heard motorbikes in the area between 23:00 BST on 4 July and 13:00 the next day.
Sgt Mick Soulsby said: "A motorbike was located nearby and one possibility is that he has fallen off a bike, although there may be another reason."
