Powburn crash: Victim named as Romek Goldsztajn

A man who died in a crash in Northumberland has been named by police.

Romek Goldsztajn, of Castle Close, Morpeth, was pronounced dead at the scene after his Toyota and a Citroen Berlingo collided on the A697, north of Powburn, on Wednesday.

The Citroen driver, a 63-year-old man, was taken to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Police said he remains in a critical condition.
