Whitley Bay and Seaton Delaval searches: Boys on explosives charges
Two teenage boys have been charged with explosives offences after properties in Northumberland and Tyneside were searched by police.
The pair, aged 15 and 16, who have not been named, are accused of possessing items connected to making explosives and are due to appear in court later.
The arrests followed searches of properties in Seaton Delaval and Whitley Bay on Monday.
Police said a number of chemicals were seized from both addresses.
