Views sought over Sunderland Groves site plan

Sunderland residents are being given the opportunity to comment on plans for an area earmarked for regeneration.

The Groves site, next to the River Wear, is viewed as an important future gateway into the city centre.

It is the site of the southern landing point for the proposed Wear bridge and the first phase of the Sunderland Strategic Transport Corridor.

The site's owner, O&H Group Ltd, has unveiled plans for a mixed-use residential community.

These plans are available online and at an exhibition at the council's customer services centre. People have until 26 August to submit their views.
