Man killed in County Durham car crash is named

A 29-year-old man who died after a car crash on the A1M in County Durham has been named by police.

Peter Enright died when his car collided with another vehicle between Bowburn and Bradbury, at about 16:00 GMT on Sunday.

Mr Enright's car went through a central rope barrier and ended up on the wrong side of the carriageway.

The 29-year-old, originally from Houghton-le-Spring, was returning home to Nottingham after visiting family.
