Man dies in hospital after crash

An elderly man has died in hospital five days after being knocked down by a car in Wiltshire.

The accident happened on 23 September at about 0930 BST outside the Two Pigs pub on the A4 in Corsham.

The man was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath with a suspected broken hip.

He was transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol but died on Tuesday. Police have asked for witnesses to the accident to call them.
