Pedestrian, 81, killed in Warminster crash

An 81-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car while crossing the road in Wiltshire.

Police said John Henry Saunders was in a collision with a grey Mazda saloon in Warminster on Wednesday 12 January.

The Mazda driver took him to Salisbury District Hospital with head and leg injuries but he died on Monday evening.

The crash happened on Grovelands Way at the junction with Victoria Road at about 1835 GMT. Police are appealing for witnesses.
