Boy wedged against pillar by car in Swindon

A car driver deliberately wedged a 15-year-old boy against a concrete pillar, Wiltshire Police have said.

A force spokeswoman said the boy was followed by the vehicle on Bourne Road, Swindon, at about 1930 GMT on Sunday.

She said the car, believed to be a silver Audi A4 estate, had mounted the pavement and grassy area between Manor Crescent and Akers Way.

The driver wedged the victim against the pillar and assaulted him through the car window.

The boy suffered minor injuries, but was "extremely shaken", the spokeswoman said.

Officers have appealed for witnesses.
