Police fine 13 drivers without seat belts in Swindon

Police in Wiltshire have caught 13 people who were not wearing their seat belts while driving.

Fourteen special constables from the force were involved in the operation in Swindon town centre on Saturday.

Drivers who were stopped and found not to be wearing a seat belt were fined £60.

Police said one motorist was found using a mobile phone while driving and some others had no insurance, road tax or valid MOTs.
