Care workers in Swindon have held a protest against plans to transfer council-run home care.

Sixty four home care jobs will go at the end of March at the Conservative-led Swindon Borough Council to save money.

The council says support for vulnerable people in their own homes can be provided more cheaply by private companies.

But care workers say their clients will not get the same level of service.

One worker told the BBC: "I don't agree that they will do the job that we have been doing. We've got an excellent rating, it's all down to money. My concern is the elderly client."

The protest took place on Saturday.
