Man critically injured in crash in Wiltshire

A 64-year-old man is critically ill in hospital after a crash in Wiltshire, close to the border with Hampshire.

He was in one of two cars that collided on Biddesden Lane, Ludgershall, just before 1700 BST on Wednesday.

The man was cut free from the wreckage by fire crews and was flown by air ambulance to hospital in Southampton for treatment to multiple injuries.

Wiltshire Police said the 44-year-old driver of the other car was treated for minor injuries.
