Wiltshire cyclist dies in hospital after hill accident

A 57-year-old cyclist has died from serious head injuries after coming off her bike on the B390 in Wiltshire.

The accident happened as she was riding down Anstey Hill towards Knook just before 1930 BST on Saturday evening.

Police said it appeared that she had lost control of the blue pedal cycle and crashed.

The woman was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol for treatment but died on Sunday morning. Police are appealing for witnesses.
