West Wilts Vineyard Church launches finance helpline

A church community in Wiltshire has set up a debt helpline for people with financial problems.

The West Wilts Vineyard Church in Trowbridge, which already runs a food bank, said the service was a natural progression.

Spokeswoman Rebecca Green said the group was working in partnership with the Hope Debt Advice Service in Bradford-on-Avon.

She said it had wanted to establish a similar facility in Trowbridge.

"A lot of the people who are working with us have already been in a situation where they've been struggling with debt or through various life circumstances, finances have simply got out of control," she said.

"We already really understand where people are at."
