Off-road motorcyclist Ricky Imber dies in trailer crash

A 19-year-old man has died after the off-road motorcycle he was riding struck an agricultural trailer in Wiltshire.

Ricky Imber, from Enford, was riding on a track open to the public off Wexland Road, Netheravon, when the crash happened at 1405 BST on Saturday.

He suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was flown to Salisbury District Hospital by air ambulance.

Police said Mr Imber had died of his injuries a short time later.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "The rider lost control of the machine and collided with the rear of an agricultural trailer containing timber.

"Specialist investigators carried out inquiries for approximately five hours."

The area remained open to the public during that time.

Police have spoken to a number of witnesses, but want to hear from anyone else who saw the motorcycle being ridden before the accident.
