Route for Cheltenham half marathon announced

The route has been announced for the first Cheltenham half marathon to be held since 1993.

Runners will set off from the racecourse along a linear route via the A435 to Bishops Cleeve, and along the unclassified roads to Stoke Orchard and Elmstone Hardwicke, finishing 100m (110 yds) short of the A4019.

A rolling road closure will be operated during the event on Sunday 4 September.

About 1,000 athletes are expected to take part.
