Ex-MP Anne Snelgrove chosen by Labour for South Swindon

Former South Swindon MP Anne Snelgrove has been selected to fight the seat for the Labour Party at the next election.

Ms Snelgrove, 53, lost to Conservative Robert Buckland at the last election in 2010 after five years as a member of parliament.

Party members chose her as the prospective parliamentary candidate at a meeting in the town on Saturday.

If the selection is approved, Ms Snelgrove will contest the seat at the next general election.
