Swindon v Oxford football match: Seven fans charged

Seven people have been charged after Swindon Town's football derby against Oxford United on Sunday.

Four were charged with public order offences, one with public disorder and one with being drunk while trying to enter the ground - all from Swindon.

They were bailed to appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court in September.

An Oxford man will also appear in court charged with an offence relating to invading the pitch. He has been given a provisional ban from football matches.

Two others were given fixed penalty tickets for being drunk and disorderly.

Swindon Town lost the game 2-1, Oxford United's first win at the County Ground in 38 years.
