Stuart James Hawkins sentenced after Cirencester crash

A man from Swindon has been found guilty of causing death by driving without due care and attention after a car crash in Cirencester.

Daphne Wilson, 89, from Ashton Keynes, was injured in the collision on 17 April and later died in hospital.

Stuart James Hawkins, 23, of Rodbourne, was given a 24-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months and also told to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work.

The hearing took place at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on 25 August.
