Two hurt as car crashes into cottage in Wiltshire

Two men were seriously injured when their car crashed into the wall of a house in south Wiltshire.

The collision happened in the village of Upper Woodford, between Amesbury and Salisbury, at about 2030 BST on Monday.

Police said the Mitsubishi Lancer hit a parked car before crashing into the living room wall of a cottage, causing substantial damage.

No one inside the house was hurt, despite the owner being in the living room at the time of the incident.

The men in the car, all in their early 20s, were taken to Salisbury District Hospital where they are being treated for serious injuries.

Great Western Ambulance Service said one man, who was trapped, was knocked unconcious and suffered a neck injury and scalp wound.

The driver suffered abdominal and pelvic injuries. A third man in the car was not seriously hurt but taken to hospital as a precaution.
