Man in court over Adrian Cooksey taxi rank killing

A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a man who died after an attack while out with friends in March 2009.

Adrian Cooksey, 50, from Trowbridge, was injured in the incident near a taxi rank in Melksham and died when his life support machine was turned off.

Richard Elmes, of Melksham appeared at North Wiltshire Magistrate's Court.

He was released on conditional bail and will appear at Swindon Crown Court on 14 October.

Mr Elmes is also charged with perverting the course of justice.
