Paraglider is rescued after crash at Milk Hill

A paraglider has been rescued following an accident in Wiltshire.

The Great Western Ambulance Service was alerted to the crash at Milk Hill near Alton Priors at 18:22 BST on Tuesday.

Two specialist rescue teams from Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service based in Trowbridge and Chippenham also attended the incident.

The paraglider was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury and possible spinal injury

A Great Western Ambulance Service spokesman said the victim was lowered from the hill using the air ambulance.

"He was then taken by road ambulance to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.

"His injuries are not believed life-threatening," the spokesman added.
