A man who was found dead in a Wiltshire field has been named by police.

Wiltshire Police launched a murder investigation after the body of Leonard Anthony Adams was found in a field near Semley at about 18:00 BST on Saturday.

A force spokeswoman said 43-year-old Mr Adams, also known as Lennie, lived in Station Road, Semley.

Two men in their 40s and a 25-year-old woman who were arrested on Sunday remain in police custody.

'Specialist support'

A third man who was also arrested has been released without charge.

The Wiltshire Police spokeswoman asked anyone with information on the murder of Mr Adams to contact the force.

"Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family at this very difficult time and our family liaison officer will continue to offer specialist support," she said.

She asked the driver of a dark Land Rover Defender that pulled over in the Railway Bridge area of Semley at 17:00 BST on Friday to contact the force because "they may have vital information to help our investigation".

She also asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in The Marshes, Marshes Farm and Semley area between 08:45 BST on Friday and 12:30 BST on Saturday to get in touch.
