Hilperton man jailed for child porn images
A man from Wiltshire has been jailed after more than 28,000 indecent images of children were found on his computer.
Steven Hawkins, 53, of Fairwood Close, Hilperton, was arrested in July 2009 on suspicion of making and possessing indecent images of children.
A police forensic examination revealed more than 28,000 films and images had been downloaded over a period of 11 years and nine months.
At Swindon Crown Court, Hawkins received a 12-month prison sentence.
His name will also appear on the sex offenders register for 10 years and he was banned from working with children indefinitely.
Hawkins was arrested following information received from the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP).
At a hearing in September, he pleaded guilty to 14 charges of making and possessing indecent images of children.
