Windfarm proposals for Wiltshire farmland

A company is expected to submit a plan for a windfarm featuring three 426ft (130m) turbines on farmland in Wiltshire.

REG Windpower wants to put up the turbines at Grange Farm near the villages of West Aston and Bratton.

It is to submit a plan for a test mast in the spring to check whether the site is suitable for the windfarm.

If the test turbine is a success then an application for three turbines would follow later in 2012.

The firm has already held two public meetings about the plans for the windfarm which would be near the Westbury white horse.
