Swindon motorbike dealership George White closes

The Wiltshire-based motorcycle dealership, George White, has ceased trading.

A sign on the door of its Swindon head office says the company closed its doors on 19 January, pending the appointment of administrators.

The chain, which was set up by former Swindon Speedway rider George White in the 1960s, was one of the biggest dealerships in the country.

The company also had branches in London, Bristol, Slough and Oxford.
