Two held after fake £20 notes seized in Swindon

Thousands of pounds have been seized and two men arrested on suspicion of spending fake £20 notes in Swindon.

Police raided an address in Beatrice Street, on Wednesday, and seized about £200 in fake notes and £28,000 in cash.

A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of passing counterfeit notes.

On Tuesday, a 53-year-old was arrested after officers had a report a man was trying to use a fake note in a shop at the Great Western Hospital.

Both men have been released on police bail, pending further inquiries.
