Swindon's Great Western Hospital staff to strike again

Support staff at Swindon's Great Western Hospital are to hold further strikes in a row over bullying claims.

The GMB union said 150 workers employed by Carillion would hold 12 more days of industrial action over the next month.

The workers have already held six days of strikes and will also stage a march through Swindon on 17 March.

Carillion said its managers would be having "further talks" with the GMB and that "lines of communication remain open".

The union submitted a formal complaint by 109 members of staff over allegations of bullying in December.

Support staff taking action include porters, caterers, and cleaners.

So far, one hospital manager has resigned over the issue.
