Swindon stabbing murder victim identified as Roger Millar

A murder victim who was found lying with stab wounds in a Swindon street has been named by police.

Charles Roger Millar, 44, was pronounced dead in hospital following the attack in in Barnum Court, Rodbourne, early on Wednesday.

Mr Millar, who was known as Roger, was from East Street in the town. Two 18-year-old youths have been arrested and are still being questioned.

Officers are continuing to forensically examine the scene.

Det Insp Matt Davey, the senior investigating officer in the case, appealed to anyone who has not yet come forward to contact the force.

"Any small bit of information you have may help us to piece together what happened to Roger Millar," he said.

"We will be continuing with house to house enquiries in the local area today and to ask anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area of Barnum Court, Swindon, to come forward."
