Man dies after being hit by car in Chipping Sodbury

A man has died after being hit by a car on the A432 in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police said the 39-year-old man was struck on Kennedy Way at about 21:30 BST on Thursday.

He was hit by a Ford Cougar and died at the scene.

Two men, aged 33 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The road was closed while police carried out an investigation.
