Swindon teenager shot in face with air weapon

A boy has been repeatedly shot in the face and the arms with an air weapon in Swindon.

Wiltshire Police said the 17-year-old victim was cycling in the Greenmeadow area when he was targeted at about 16:50 BST on Saturday.

The shooting happened on Pond Street, adjacent to the footpath leading to Rydal Close and Upton Close.

No details about the extent of the boy's injuries have been released but police are appealing for witnesses.
