Melksham fatal car crash suspects arrested
Two men have been arrested following a car crash in Melksham in which a teenager was killed.
An 18-year-old and a 25-year-old, both from the town, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, Wiltshire Police said.
Victim Max Lewis, 19, was a passenger in a car that was in collision with a van in Forest Lane, on Saturday.
The 22-year-old car driver from Melksham is in hospital in a stable condition, a spokesman added.
Sgt Barrie Card from Wiltshire Police said: "Following a fantastic response from the public, we have now arrested two men on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
"I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the local community for the information they have provided to Wiltshire Police since Saturday's tragic road traffic collision."
