Council housing and benefits services in Salisbury have moved into new offices in the city.

Wiltshire Council is creating a new hub at Bourne Hill, which will see all of its services under one roof.

Staff based at Millford Street, including revenue, benefits, and housing teams, moved into the new award-winning offices earlier.

A council spokesman said the move would save the authority about £80,000 a year.

The Grade II listed building and modern extension at Bourne Hill won a regional award in a ceremony run by the British Council for Offices.

The building has also won the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) South West and Wessex Regional Award.
