Woman released over Salisbury footbridge fall injury

A woman arrested after a man fell from a footbridge in Wiltshire suffering serious injuries has been released without charge.

Police were called to a bridge over the A36 in Salisbury at 03:30 BST on Monday and the man, 19, was rushed to hospital where he is in a critical condition.

Officers held the 18-year-old woman on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Wiltshire Police said "no further action" would be taken against her.
