Swindon stabbing: Victim named as Alison Connolly

A woman who was stabbed to death in Swindon has been identified by police as Alison Connolly.

Officers were called to Evelyn House in Park South at 15:45 BST on Tuesday and found the 49-year-old mother from Penhill with a stab wound.

She was taken to the Great Western Hospital by ambulance but died from her injury.

Wiltshire Police arrested three women from Swindon, two aged 19 and a 23-year-old, in connection with the death.

A spokesman said all three remain in custody and officers want anybody who was in the area at the time to contact them.
