Motorcyclist dies a week after crashing in Scarborough

A 59-year-old man has died a week after his vintage motorcycle was involved in a collision in North Yorkshire.

The crash happened at 2200 BST on 7 July in Columbus Ravine, Scarborough.

A silver Renault Megane was waiting to turn into Tennyson Avenue, when a red BSA Rocket 650 motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction hit the car.

The man died on Wednesday in Scarborough District Hospital from his injuries. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
