Man quizzed over Scarborough cellar bar death

A 51-year-old has been arrested in connection with the death of a man who was found in a Scarborough bar cellar.

The body of 36-year-old James Teasdale was discovered at the Zest bar in St Thomas Street on Wednesday.

A 51-year-old local man was arrested on Saturday and released on police bail, North Yorkshire Police said.

They are appealing for anyone who was in the Zest Bar last Sunday evening - the night of the World Cup final - to contact them.

Police said last week they were treating the death as unexplained.

An inquest into Mr Teasdale's death is not expected to open until later next week.
