Police inquiry after Flamingo Land baby death

Police are investigating the "sudden and unexplained" death of a baby in North Yorkshire.

The boy was found unconscious at a caravan at the Flamingo Land resort in Kirby Misperton on Thursday morning and was taken to Scarborough hospital.

Hospital staff called police and the caravan has been sealed off while it is examined by officers.

A police spokesman said no-one had been arrested and nothing suspicious had been found.

A post-mortem examination will take place on Monday to determine the cause of death.
