Police appeal after two-car crash in North Yorkshire

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash which led to two people being airlifted to hospital.

The two-car collision happened between Skipwith and Escrick at about 1500 BST on Wednesday.

A woman passenger travelling in a Honda Jazz was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries. She remains in a critical condition.

The driver of a Subaru involved was airlifted to York District Hospital with chest injuries.

The driver of the Honda was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
