A66 Gilling Bank death crash motorist named

A 20-year-old man who was killed when his car was involved in a collision with a lorry in North Yorkshire has been named by police.

Daniel Green, of Gilling West, near Richmond, died on Monday evening in the accident at the junction of the A66 and Gilling Bank.

The road was closed until Tuesday to allow police to conduct an investigation into the incident.

An inquest into Mr Green's death was opened and adjourned on Thursday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident has been urged to contact police.
