Man, 29, in court for York murder of Mark John Webb

A 29-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man at a house in York.

Mark John Webb, 40, of Cornlands Road, was found seriously injured at a house in Middleton Road on 4 March and pronounced dead in hospital.

Brian Cox, 29, of no fixed abode, appeared before York magistrates earlier.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.

A 34-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were released on police bail on Monday following questioning.

A woman, 49, was previously released on bail.
